Adopted from the American Baptist Missionary Society seal of the 1800’s, the front logo depicts an ox standing beside a plow and a smoking altar: ready to labor or ready to be a sacrifice. Charles Spurgeon mentioned this illustration specifically in his sermon "Paul the Ready" on Romans 1:15. The back features Spurgeon’s direct quote about it:

“You have not come to the highest style of readiness till you are ready for whatever the will of God may appoint for you.”
