An beautiful C.H. Spurgeon biography from Passmore & Alabaster, Spurgeon’s life-long publisher, written by one of Spurgeon’s evangelists (J. Manton Smith), and with a preface by Spurgeon’s father; excellent extracts and illustrations throughout that are from other larger, more notable P&A printings. A nice, antique copy with a beautiful cover, published shortly after Spurgeon passed.

The Passmore & Alabaster printings by Spurgeon and/or about Spurgeon are the collectible volumes to own for a Spurgeon enthusiast’s library. Don’t pass even the smaller volumes up if your goal is to accumulate a great Spurgeon collection!
