Fuller, Andrew

(1754 – 1815)

A Baptist minister and theologian, he was considered one of the best, if not the premier, theologian of his era. Revered and treasured by the likes of Charles Haddon Spurgeon, he spent 33 years as pastor in Kettering, Northhamptonshire.

Fuller is most well known for his work, The Gospel Worthy of All Acceptation (1785, second edition 1801). He also wrote the likes of The Calvinistic and Socinian Systems Examined and Compared, as to their Moral Tendency, along with The Gospel Its Own Witness and Strictures on Sandemanianism.

An extremely involved member in the formation of the Baptist Missionary Society (1792), Fuller was a close friend and colleague of the famous missionary, William Carey
